About Team ROC Greensboro Mixed Martial Arts

Team ROC Greensboro is the premier MMA school in Greensboro, NC. We train studets of all levels in Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Sambo, Muay Thai and Boxing.

Team-ROC started as the combination of California Combat Concepts (CCC) and Academy of Mixed Martial Arts (AMMA). The ROC stands for Reality Of Combat, specialized training for law enforcement and military personnel taught by Brent Pierce from CCC and Greg Thompson from AMMA.

In May of 2000, Team-ROC became the Team which members of California Combat Concepts and the Academy of Mixed Martial Arts belong and will fight under in future events. In 2001 California Combat Concepts became Team ROC Martial Arts Academy.

The school provides training with a blend of the martial arts including Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. The Jiu Jitsu of Team-ROC is Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

Many of the Team-ROC fighters have earned belt ranks in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, including Blue, Purple, Brown and Black.

Team-ROC fighters have appeared in some of the top shows in the world including: K1, IFL, King of the Cage, Bodog Fights, and HDNET Fights.
